Aleksander Kartasiński, the chairman of Happy Kids Foundation, who has taken care of family houses in Łóź for years, has been appointed the Social Plenipotentiary of the city of Łódź. He is to be responsible for contacting Ukrainian authorities when it comes to looking after Ukrainian children in the city.
On Monday, 28th February, Mrs Hanna Zdanowska, who is the president of Łódź, made him the supervisor of the evacuation of children from orphanages and foster parents in Ukraine. These young refugees are going to be located in Łódź. The whole action is supervised by the Department of the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
